Clinical Pharmacist Adam Mainwaring is our Clinical Pharmacist at Chew Medical Practice. Adam can carry out your regular medication reviews and may carry out your Hypertension reviews. He can also help you with any questions or concerns you have with regards to your medication including how to take them, any issues experienced when taking them and any side effect you may experience. Pharmacy Technician Kamila Malada is our Pharmacy Technician. Kamila will be supporting our Pharmacist is delivery of safe and effective service and for repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation and reducing waste. She can also help with any medicine related queries or concerns. First Contact Physio Justine De Frates is our First Contact Physio who recently joined the team in June 2023 having spent the majority of her career in Secondary Care (Bristol BRI, Bath RUH and Southmead NBT) as senior physiotherapist. The role of the FCP in Primary Care is to assess, diagnose and offer advise to patients with soft tissue, muscle and joint pain, deciding on the most appropriate management pathway.
NHS Physiotherapy Simple physiotherapy is provided at the surgery. More complex cases are seen at either Keynsham Health Centre or Paulton Hospital. Patients may be referred by a doctor or nurse, or may self-refer using a form available from the surgery reception. Retinal Screening This is a national screening programme for patients aged 11 and over who have diabetes. The Retinal Screening Unit attend the surgery once a month. Patients are invited by letter to attend once a year, unless they need to be referred to an eye clinic. |
