Practice Vision
At the heart of the health of our community
Chew Medical Practice aims to provide exemplary, professional healthcare that inspires confidence in our patients and our community. Partners and staff are approachable, respectful, and patient-centred, aiming to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. Our vision applies equally to the prevention of ill health, the management of chronic conditions, and the provision of timely treatment for acute illness.
We aim to be at the forefront of modern general practice, offering a wide range of services and facilities conveniently located for most of our patients. As a rural practice, we recognise the importance of local provision, and it is our intention wherever possible to bring opportunities for treatment, awareness, and support into our community.
We engage with the wider NHS to provide the right care, to the right person at the right time.
We recognise our responsibility to the future NHS and enthusiastically embrace all teaching opportunities to inspire future primary healthcare staff.
In order to offer the best possible chance for our patients to manage chronic conditions, we aim to improve the identification and monitoring of diseases, in line with national guidelines. We aspire to address the needs of terminally ill patients with particular care, helping them to maintain their dignity and to spend the final days of their life where they and their families wish.
We use technology smartly to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our administration, patient contact and clinical activity.
Our colleagues are the heart of our services, and we want to provide a safe and supportive environment to provide a confident, resilient team who represent the practice values and ethos.
